VIETNAM VISA INFORMATION

Visitors to Vietnam need a visa to enter the country and is necessary to have Passport valid at least 6 months. 



VISA PROCEDURE

1. Communication between the Tour Operator (TO) and ASCO International (AI)
TO must send to AI all clients' details not later than 7 working days before arrival (7 days before it would be better- also LAST MINUTE (in 3 working days) is possible and the cost will be of 30 USD per URGENT CODE).
Personal Data needed :
· Family name - Personal name   
· Gender (Male-Female)
· Nationality 
· Date of birth (Day - Month - Year)      
· Passport number
· Date of issue of passport           (Day - Month - Year)
· Expiring date of passport (Day - Month - Year)

Passport must be valid at least 6 (six) months to enter the country

AI MUST SEND TO TOUR OPERATOR all the necessary documents ( following the list) 3 days before the departure of the Clients.
· Invitation Letter    (1 copy per group)
· Visa Authorization Letter  (1 copy per group)
· Visa Application Form     (1 copy per each client, a passport size photo must be attached to the form)
*The form can be also obtained from the Vietnamese consulate at no charge. 


2. BEFORE LANDING IN VIETNAM
· Client will receive on the plane the "Vietnam Arrival and Departure Card" to fill out.
· All clients must fill out the form and sign it
· In case there is the Tour Leader, She/He will help them to fill it if they should fill it alone.
· All has to be done before landing in Vietnam 

* Clients must have the following documents filled out before leaving the plane
· Visa Application Form (with a passport size photo attached to it)
· "Vietnam arrival and departure card"

3. CLIENTS ENTERING THE AIRPORT MUST HAVE READY AT HAND:
· "Vietnam arrival and departure card"
· Passport
· Visa Application Form, with photo attached
· Visa Authorization Letter (Visa Code) 


4. PROCEDURES INSIDE THE AIRPORT
Client must report to the "IMMIGRATION/VISA Office", in the main hall of the airport, and hand out to immigration officers:

· The passport, the Visa Application Form (with photo attached) and 25 USD
· Client must wait until the passport is stamped     
· Then, client must go through Visa Control with passport stamped and "Vietnam arrival and departure card"
· Then, client must go through Immigration Control with passport stamped and "Vietnam arrival and departure card"
· Once the luggage collected, client must go through Customs Control
· Client must show the "Vietnam arrival and departure card" to Customs officers and put the luggage under the X-ray machine for final check 
· Customs officers will give to client a copy of the Luggage Customs Declaration
· Now client can reach the exit, where AI staff will give a warm welcome


5. NOTICE
"Vietnam arrival and departure card" client's copy must be safely kept and shown at departure from Vietnam

IMPORTANT: Vietnamese Visa on arrival is possible to obtain only in the airport of Saigon, Danang and Hanoi. For all the other borders ( by land and / or river ' see the list' ) the has to be done in Europe or in the Capital of the nearest country (Vientiane in Laos, Phnom Penh in Cambodia and Bangkok in Thailand) (COST:25 USD VISA fees + 30 USD for the fast procedure in the Vietnamese Embassy  - the amount has to be paid to AI staff)
