"Laos SUD Pakse - Khong Island - Pakse" UP STREAM
Day 01: Pakse-Xieng Di-Khone Island (Lunch & Dinner)
Leaving Pakse at 9.30 drive to the spectacular roaring waterfalls of Khone Papheng and then, on to the small fishing village of Xieng Di . Board a long tail boat for a visit to Khone Island . After lunch continue by long tail boat and car-ferry to the village of Ban Veuthong to board the waiting Vat Phou for a sunset cruise and Dinner . Overnight onboard.
Day 02: Khone Island-Oum Mong Temple-Huei Thamo (Breack Fast, Lunch & Dinner)
Enjoy breakfast onboard the Vat Phou while cruising to Khong Island . On arrival travel by road to Muang Khong village where the way of life of the local people has been unchanged for centuries. Back on board the Vat Phou enjoy lunch while cruising north to Don Daeng Island to visit the village of Huei Thamo . This site is renowned for its mysterious pre-Angkorian temple, Oum Mong, hidden in the tropical forest a few minutes walk from the riverside. Lunch and Dinner onboard - overnight onboard the Vat Phou.
Day 03: Ban Wat Luang Kao-Champasak-Pakse (Breack Fast, Lunch & Dinner)
While enjoying breakfast the Vat Phou continues its way north to Ban Wat Luang Kao where a bus is waiting to begin a guided tour of the pre-Angkorian Vat Phou temples. Recently classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Vat Phou marks the birthplace of the Khmer culture. On leaving Vat Phou return to Champasak by road and board the Vat Phou to cruise to Pakse with arrival scheduled for about 16:00. - Lunch included.

"Laos SUD Pakse - Khong Island - Pakse" DOWN STREAM
Day 01: Pakse-Vat Phou-Champasak (Lunch & Dinner)
The long tail boat leaves Pakse around 9.30 in the morning down the Mekong River to Champasak. Arrive at Champasak explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Vat Phou. These pre-Angkorian temples mark the birthplace of the Khmer culture. In the late afternoon cruise down the Mekong as the sun sets- Lunch and Dinner on board - overnight on board.
Day 02: Huei Thamo-Oum Mong Temple-Khong Island (Break Fast, Lunch & Dinner)
After breakfast on board disembark at Huei Thamo, a few minutes walk from the spectacular pre-Angkorian temple of Oum Mong hidden in the forest. Return to the boat and continue the cruise downstream - arriving in the wilderness of the Four Thousand Islands. Visit Khong Island and the village of Muang Khong to witness the untouched way of life of the local people. Back onboard enjoys dinner to a serenade of toads while the sun sets over the Mekong . Lunch and Dinner on board. Overnight on board.
Day 03: Ban Veuthong-Khone Papheng-Xieng Di-Pakse (Break Fast, Lunch)
Breakfast on the deck while cruising to Ban Veuthong to take a local car-ferry to the amazing Khone Papheng Waterfalls, near the Cambodian border. At the small fishing village of Xieng Di board a long tail boat to Khone Island . The rare Irrawaddy Dolphins can sometime been seen in this area. Lunch amid the fine French colonial buildings on the island before returning to Pakse, a two-hour journey away by road. Arrive in Pakse around 16:00. Lunch in a typical restaurant.

Luang Say boat leaves Houei Say pier at 09:00 hrs for a cruise down the Mekong to Pakbeng - En route one stop is made to observe rural life along the Mekong and discover minorities, a buffet Lunch on board - Arrive Pakbeng before sunset and check-in at LuangSay Lodge - Dinner on the terrace, overlooking the Mekong River
Day 02: PAKBENG - PAK OU - LUANG PRABANG (Breakfast, Lunch)
Full breakfast at lodge - (Optional: walk to Pakbeng market, where people from the surrounding village of minorities exchange their goods) - At 08:30 board the boat for the second leg of the cruise - A short stop to discover a Hmong village before having buffet Lunch on board - Continue to Pak-Ou village at the mouth of the Nam Ou River, visit Tam Ting "Caves of a thousand Buddha's" - On the way to Luang Prabang a brief stop is made to observe the traditional process of obtaining local rice alcohol - Arrive at Luang Prabang before sunset

"Laos North HOUEISAY - PAKBENG - LUANG PRABANG" UP STREAM
Day 01: LUANG PRABANG - PAK OU - PRABANG (Lunch, Dinner)
Your boat leaves Luang Prabang pier at 07:30 hrs for a cruise up the Mekong to Pakbeng - On the way to Pak-Ou Village, at the mouth of the Nam Ou River, a brief stop is made to observe the traditional process of obtaining local rice alcohol, visit Tam Ting "Caves of a thousand Buddha's"- Have a buffet Lunch on board and continue route to Pak Beng - Arrive at Pak Beng before sunset and check in at LuangSay Lodge - Dinner on the terrace, overlooking the Mekong River.
Day 02: PAKBENG - HOUEISAY (Breakfast, Lunch)
Full breakfast, at lodge - (Optional: walk to Pak Beng market, where people from the surrounding villages of minorities exchange their goods) - At 08:00 hrs board the boat for the second leg of the cruise - En route one stop is made to observe rural life along the Mekong and discover minorities - having a buffet Lunch on board and continue to Houei Say where you will arrive before 17:00 hrs (you may proceed to Chiang Rai in the same day.)
